The world today!

Every year, every day, every minute even until this very second, a person is either taking their last breath, dying, or cheating or lieing to his/her partner, or begging from god for mercy that he has sinned, or even a doctor not paying attention to a lady's cries when she screams "Please don't remove his organs," even without much persuasion the doctor proceeds the operation just because the man who is brain dead did not opt out from taking out his organs when he was alive.

Can u imagine, if you attend your father's funeral to only seeing a dough lying in the coffin ( a body without organs) how would u feel? Angry against the whole medical department ? You would be wondering which hospital would do such a thing? You'll be surprised when I say that this has been happening in Singapore, in our very own Spore's General Hospital.

On the feb 14th 2007, mindyourbody TheStraittimes paper, published an article "Breaking the Bad News,"talks about how a family of a brain dead man had to beg the doctors not to remove the man's organs. Mr Sim Tee Hua was 43 years old and his family was praying for a miracle that he would somehow wake up again. Apparently, his family had to beg on their knees, last week to not to do the harvesting of organs as they were wheeling the body into the operating theatre. How is it possible that the medical doctors could do this? They are not supposed to do any harvesting of organs to the body be it alive or brain dead until the family has given any form of permission. What kind of stupid act is this? When the doctors were questioned, they simply said that Mr Sim had not opted out that he does not want to donate his organs, as such after 24 hours the doctors proceeded with the operation. Why is our medical department this merciless? If the same doctor had his loved one brain dead, and he/she did not opt out and immediate harvesting have to be done, how would he feel?

The best part is even after the operation, the family did not get any value/compensation for each of the organ. However, when the same liver goes to a very sick private patient who needs the liver badly, he has to pay $150,000, to $200,000 to the hospital. Who gains, the hospital don't u think? Don't you wonder that the hospital really knows how to eat people's money. What kind of world today has become? Upon reading the article, I was really furious. I wonder what if the lower income groups are not aware of this whole opting out thing, they would have to beg just like the relatives and family of Mr Sim. I sympathise and feel the pain that they are going through. I hope the government would look into this matter. Plus the media in Singapore should publicize about this matter even more.

Anyways, I'm kinda worried about my sister. Whether she will get into the courses of diploma of biochemical sciences, psychology or nursing. Hope God will answer my prayers. Wish her luck.
GTG! Will update to you about my life soon until then bye for now.
